HOW IT IS BUILT The suites are built from natural materials: clay, bamboo, local hardwood and stone. The shape follows sacred geometry, and that is part of why the rooms feel the way they do. The walls breathe, letting air and moisture pass through instead of sealing you in. Every finish and every piece of the decoration is ecological, so there are no artificial chemicals in the air you breathe at home. Each suite is oriented to the path of the sun, so it stays cool on its own and the air conditioning runs far less than it would in a concrete apartment. BUILT WITHOUT DAMAGING THE LAND Very few places in Tulum are built this way. No tree was cut and the soil was left undisturbed. All wastewater is treated on the property with a biodigester and biofilters, then reused to water the plants, so nothing reaches the aquifer underneath. Cleaning and bath products are biodegradable. Living here, you are not adding to the pollution of Tulum's groundwater. THE NATURE AROUND YOU Many species of birds come through, and in the mornings that is most of what you hear.
